Otoko!
A Zine dedicated to Kirishima Eijirou's
Middle School Experience
男 (otoko) is the Japanese word for ‘man’. Kirishima is also observed to say this word on many instances and it has even become his personal tagline: “manly”.
It’s the perfect title to celebrate Kirishima’s growth!
We’ve all had moments in our lives where we were unsure of ourselves, where we didn’t like what we saw in the mirror and wished we could be better. To see that vulnerability represented in a character in a popular Shonen manga, it’s no wonder Kirishima Eijirou stole many fans’ hearts.
We cheer for him as we cheer for ourselves.
The purpose of this zine is to showcase Kirishima’s journey into finding his best and most authentic self — through works of creation like one-shot stories, illustrations, and other forms of art.
Let’s join Kirishima as we grow stronger,
in body and spirit!
